  • Need to clean your beer line? Carbonate beer quickly? Take a CO₂ purged traveler to Keith's house to really knock his socks off with that awesome DIPA? This carbonation cap is an affordable way to accomplish all of this - we use them regularly.

    Clean your beer line easily:

    1. Fill a PET bottle with liquid line cleaner (or water for flushing, sanitizer, you name it)
    2. Screw on your carbonation cap until it's hand tight
    3. Attach your liquid ball lock disconnect for the tap that needs cleaning
    4. Invert your PET bottle, open your beer tap, and squeeze* to push your liquid through. It's that easy!

*Feeling lazy or have a long line? Use the carbonation cap tee adapter and a second cap to use compressed gas to push your liquid through.

Quickly Carbonate Beer (Single Cap Method):

    1. Fill a (CO₂ purged as well as possible) PET bottle with your less-than-ideally-fizzy beverage (let's assume it's beer in this case)
    2. Screw on your carbonation cap until it's hand tight
    3. Connect your gas line via your standard gas ball lock disconnect
    4. Open your regulator to your desired pressure (use our handy Easy As Forced Carbonation Chart)
    5. Either leave it to carbonate (with a smaller volume this will happen much more quickly than with your kegs) or gently shake the PET bottle until you stop hearing gas running into it.
    6. Pour and enjoy!

Want to prevent sneaky, detrimental O₂ from tainting your beer? See below!

Take a CO₂ purged / O₂ free traveler to Keith's house to really knock his socks off with that awesome DIPA:

    1. Quickly assemble your micro keg using a PET bottle, carbonation cap tee, two carbonation caps, and a dip tube
    2. Purge your bottle thoroughly with CO₂ to prevent oxygen from tainting your beer (we find using the BlowTie spunding kit easiest to assist in accomplishing this)
    3. Fill (using the BlowTie spunding valve kit to allow CO₂ to escape while maintaining a back pressure, preventing foaming in your bottle)
    4. Serve, keeping that O₂ out!
    5. Maintain or increase the carbonation level (as desired) via a gas ball lock disconnect to the second post.
