This is a great option if you have an existing tap without the flow control function, or are connecting a pressurized system to a hand pull, and want the ability to simply adjust the flow to accommodate different beer styles or varying carbonation levels.
 
This can be used to adjust the speed of your product dispense to ensure you have no gas breakout (head) in the glass. Also, if you're chilling your beverage on its way to the tap or hand pull, you can use this to ensure the product spends enough time going through the cooling system to reach the correct serving temperature. 
 
Inline flow control units like this can restrict the flow, reducing the pressure downstream so that the head pressure created by the beer line keeps the carbonation in solution. If you want an easy way to balance your beer lines this is the way to do it. Please be aware that even in the fully open position flow control devices do have some inherent flow resistance so you should use either shorter line or larger ID line downstream.

It's important to cut your hosing straight, not on an angle, to ensure the line has a complete seal - we highly recommend grabbing an inexpensive Tube / Line Cutter for the job. Ensure that the tubing is free of burrs to avoid damaging the O-ring.
 
To connect push the tubing in until it hits the pipe-stop. Pull back on the tubing to check that it’s secure.
 
To detach the fitting simply push in the collet and remove the hose. Easy as!
